For writing SEO friendly article you must figure out some focus keyword because those particular words explain your articles. Articles without any focus keywords are hard to rank and they are boycotted by the search engines too. According to Google’s SEO Expert Robot (Panda) focus keyword density must be 2.5%-3%. How to Balance a Chemical Equation

Chemistry is the branch of Science which deals with the study of chemical, and its properties. Balancing a chemical equation is really difficult for students.balance a chemical equation Now you don’t need to remember those long chemical reactions or equation. Using some real quick tricks maximum chemical equation can be balanced easily. To balance a chemical equation, it is very difficult without tricks and methods. There are two methods:

  1. Hit and Trial Method
  2. Partial Equation method

1. Hit and Trial Method (Trial and Error method)

Hit and Trial Method is one of the famous and popular and easy methods to balance a chemical equation. This is specially used to balance simple equations. It involves the following steps:

  • Write the skeleton equation showing reactants at the left-hand side and products on the right-hand side.
  • Write down the molecular formula of each substance.
  • Count the number of atoms of each element on both sides of the equation.
  • Then find out the suitable numerical coefficients for the molecules of the reactants and product so that the number of atoms of each element becomes equal on either side of equation.

Examples

Balance the following equation:

  1.  N2+H2=NH3(skeleton Equation)

Solution:

All substances are written in molecular form. To balance Nitrogen atom on both sides multiply NH3 by 2. The equation becomes

 N2+H2=2NH3

Now to equalize hydrogen atoms, multiple hydrogen molecules by 3. We get,

N2+3H2=NH3

Partial Equation Method to balance a chemical equation

This method of balancing is used in difficult equation in which same element present in more than one product. Some of the redox reaction where oxidizing agent is oxygen are usually balanced using this method because this method is used to solve difficult equation. This method includes multiplication addition and cancellation for calculation or balancing the chemical equation.

Example

K2Cr2O7+HCI=KCI+CrCl3+H2O+Cl2

This is skeleton equation between K2Cr2O7 and HCl.

Consider K2Cr2O7 to be made up of K2O, Cr2O3 and 3[O] and write partial equation for the action of HCl on each of these.
K2Cr2O7 = K2O+Cr2O3+3[O]

K2O+2HCl=2KCL+H2O
Cr2O3+6HCL=2CrCl3+3H2O
3[O]+6HCl=3H2O+3Cl2

On adding up these partial equations we get

these.
K2Cr2O7+14HCI=2KCI+2CrCl3+7H2O+3Cl2

This is the balanced required equation.
